We have created a fun and safe online environment where children can play and socialise in complete harmony. We have gone to extreme lengths to protect players in GardenParty and our servers are constantly supervised by a dedicated team of Moderators.

Personal Safety Online

To help protect your children, we suggest a number of precautions they can take to stay safe while on the Internet. They are:

• Never give out personal information, such as your real name, age, location, phone number or school.
• Never give out your password, except to your parents only. If someone else gets it, they might pretend to be you and give out your personal information or do an action that may get you into trouble.
• Tell your parents if someone says or does something on the Internet that makes you feel uncomfortable, or if someone asks you for personal information.
• Choose a username that does not reflect your real identity in any way. Avoid names that are in any way suggestive, even if they seem innocent to you.
• Avoid chat rooms that are not monitored by moderators.
• Stick to these rules and you're more likely to have a positive experience online!

GardenParty Safety Measures

GardenParty allows you to choose from two different Chat methods: Very Safe and Standard

Standard allows players to type their own messages to other users. Every message that is typed first goes through a sophisticated filter which blocks inappropriate words and phrases. GardenParty's filter also breaks up words and phrases phonetically in order to decipher and catch codes or other methods players might use in an attempt to get past the system. This added component allows the filter to block attempts to communicate a phone number or other personal information.

Very Safe offers complete online safety. This chat method limits what users can say to a predefined list of greetings, questions and statements, as well as emotes, actions and greeting cards. When it comes to chatting these users can only see other Very Safe messages.

Although the filter is continuously updated, comments that could be offensive to some players may occasionally get through. In order to limit that and further protect the security of Standard chat participants, moderators monitor what's going on and receive player reports of misconduct. Players who engage in inappropriate behaviour can be silenced or banned.
Any player who types a word in the swear filter ('strong language') will be automatically banned for a 24 hour period. Repeated offence (3rd time) will result in a permanent ban of the account.
